When the doctor came back with a cholesterol number of 242, I was floored. How could I have a number that high? Before my doc could whip out his pen, I rebelled against the pharmaceutical industry and decided I would get my number down without a prescription. When it boils down to it, its really all about what you eat, your activity level, and how you handle stress right?
As I turned my focus to my diet, and my favorite indulgence of gourmet cheeses, I knew my age was finally catching up with my actions. It was time to start watching not just what I ate, but what was in the foods I was eating…and man there was a long list of processed quick foods in my refrigerator!
